halloweenparty01Polish Falcons Nest 725 celebrated their Halloween Party on Saturday afternoon, October 27 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Over 100 guests attended the event, which was open to the community.

This was the first time that Sue Zareczny chaired this event which included a both children and adult raffles as well as party games and costume contests for various ages. Refreshments were served to all in attendance.

Our Nest thanks the many donations of candy which we received for the “Trick or Treat” Parade.

As President of Nest 725, I’d like to extend a big thank you to all the members of Sue’s committee. The committee included the following individuals: Angela Fischer, Shannon Borek, George Wortz, Chris Borek, Allen Borek, Sandra Abendroth, Karen Urban and Marian Hansen. We hope to continue this service to the community on October 24, 2009. God Bless and Czolem!

Polish Name Days

Yesterday 2012-05-18 : Eryka Feliksa Today 2012-05-19 : Piotra Iwa Tomorrow 2012-05-20 : Aleksandra Bazylego ........In Poland, name days (Polish: imieniny) are widely celebrated, & most calendars contain the names celebrated each day. Celebrations in Poland traditionally involve a gathering of friends & family at the celebrant's home at the dinner table, followed by drinking and socializing, similarly to birthday celebrations. The song "Sto lat" is sometimes sung. Children, and often adults too, receive presents, just like on their birthday.
