Are YOU in this picture? We're looking for "old" Jr. Bowlers.

Let's start with where in the world could you go and have sooo much fun! I'm talking about getting up on a Saturday or Sunday morning and going BOWLING! That's right! The Junior Bowling Leagues. It was my father Ray Zareczny and my mother Gerry Zareczny who started the Junior Bowling Leagues. Well having ten kids of their own they had to keep us busy so we weren't getting into trouble. So, they started the Leagues.

If you were a young'n you were in the pee wees and if you were in the middle years you were a Saturday Cadet, and if you were older, you were in the Sunday Cadets.

They taught us how to bowl, mark score...they even gave us an average (HaHa).

My parents made it all happen with the help of a lot of good people. My father had so many sponsors for his Junior leagues, we all had bowling shirts we had to wear whenever we bowled. At the end of the bowling season there would be a big banquet for the sponsors and their team. It was an AWESOME party! And all the children on the team got a trophy.

The leagues are still here but under Falcon Bowl run by Lynn Okopinski.

Who wants to go bowling? I think we all do!

Czolem,

Sue Zareczny

Polish Name Days

Yesterday 2012-02-06 : Doroty Bogdana Pawla Today 2012-02-07 : Ryszarda Teodora Tomorrow 2012-02-08 : Hieronima Sebastiana ........In Poland, name days (Polish: imieniny) are widely celebrated, & most calendars contain the names celebrated each day. Celebrations in Poland traditionally involve a gathering of friends & family at the celebrant's home at the dinner table, followed by drinking and socializing, similarly to birthday celebrations. The song "Sto lat" is sometimes sung. Children, and often adults too, receive presents, just like on their birthday.
